'He's full of s***': Hugh Hefner's son attacks 'backwards' politics of 'family friend' Trump

Cooper Hefner, son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, today attacked 'family friend' Donald Trump for what he says are 'backwards' politics, likening him to George Wallace, the Governor of Alabama who tried to maintain segregation in schools, and saying that Trump doesn't care about America.

In an article titled Donald is a Family Friend and He's Full of S***, Hefner paints a picture of Trump as a vainglorious psychopath who would stoke up violent racist ideologies just to satisfy his own ego.

'Trump doesn’t care about the office of the President. He doesn’t care about the American public. He doesn’t care about anything other than Trump,' he writes.

'Trump loves Trump over all else,' he continues in the article, which was published on Hefner's own media website, Hop. 'He loves what the presidential race can do for his brand. It’s as simple as that.

'I know this because Trump is a family friend, but regardless of his home visits, one can understand this after three minutes of watching him.'

Cooper compares Trump to former Alabama Governor George Wallace, who ran as an independent presidential candidate in 1964, one year after he tried to get state troopers to stop black children from attending newly integrated schools.

'The Republican race indicates that the same racist strain [that] got George Wallace his 13 percent is still very much alive and it’s manifesting in Trump’s popularity,' he writes.

In his most fierce attack on Trump's campaign, he warns that Trump is taking America back to the darkest times in its history.

'Trump is an individual who has openly advocated banning and deporting Muslim Americans and legal immigrants, taking a massive step backwards towards the political and social philosophies inherited from eras of slavery and gender inequality,' he says.

'[Those philosophies include] the Japanese-American prison camps of World War II, women not having the right to vote, and segregation between blacks and whites. It seems that is Trump’s idea of making America great again.'

The article also spends much of its time criticizing Millennials — which 24-year-old Cooper identifies as — for spending too much time on the internet and not enough time engaging directly with politics.

'I’m talking about participating in a political system that invites all, a system everyone seems to have an opinion about, but very few young Americans choose to participate in,' he says.
