Below are my inputs:

## Aren’t there already enough plans and policies to eliminate gender disparities ? Please correct me if I’m wrong. IMO, we should be mainly focused on  access to education and health irrespective to genders. If people are well educated, they will be independent and shouldn’t beg for such special policies to cater their request.

## I don’t think we need a special policies for women so that they can access to political power or physical assets as you mentioned on the article. Leadership role is not something that we can provide, it is “intrinsic”. People should set an example and then can become leaders. In order to set an example or become a role model in a society, education is a key or at least it plays a significant role.

## Bottom-line: The focus should be more on access to education and health which will provide basic platform for people (both men or women)  to grow and explore opportunities. With the basic education, people can themselves decide what to do and what not.

## Having said that, we can definitely spread the message not to restrict any children going to school (specially on villages). Instead on focusing on the policies, it’s better to provide awareness to general people which I think is more effective. We should first start with one village and then expand it.  There are different ways to reach out to people .

- Media (TV or Radio): For ex: Meena cartoon.  We can always debate on the fact that the people on villages don’t even have access to TV.

- Specific camps designed for villages to raise the awareness.

- Others: ??

## Please provide a reference or source when you are talking about numbers. For ex:

- According to available data, female literacy is only 55.1 percent in Nepal”

- An experiment with investment firms in the 1990s showed that 45 percent more men, compared to women

Note: There are different factors associated to above  (health and education) which I have not put in details. (Projects, financial support for the implementing the projects to reach out to general people etc). I can get lots of hate comments on this thread but all I wanted was to voice my thought. I’m not saying there is a perfect solution but brainstorming on these kind of discussion helps me as a reader and I hope the same for others too.
Have a good day ahead.
