Can't believe all of u really are making this fashion topic out of proportion aren't u? "Confused" is right....u all don't have the ability to accept the truth! Now because I wear fashionable clothes and don't find nepali clothes comfortable that makes me anti-nepali and dumb and bad girl ? What??? It's ridiculous! What a misconception u all have! I am telling the truth why is it so hard to accept it for u guys.........put dress subject aside........nobody even bothered to comment on the my main point about learning from american women about their qualities( independence, brain, ability to make her own decisions in life etc). The truth is whatever they wear nepali women aren't independent, strong, nor has capabilities to choose their own husband, job, careers etc. U all know this.......why ignore it then? U should all be saying oh yeah, it's because women aren't allowed to be educated in the first place therefore they don't have skills, they are forced to get married very early and have kids right away.......their lives end that way. Just admiring our very wrong society whether it involves dress code (men can wear western clothes whereas women are seen as bad if they don't wear their traditional clothes), arranged marriage (it's the most important decision in a person's life and they don't get to choose their husband how sad is that), domination of womenkind (domestic violence, dowry system etc) takes us nowhere. If u really support these issues then what can I say? Sitara points out that my judgement is not educated. Where as she also mentions about wearing a sexy black dress on occasions......what a conflicting view? Why do u think that? I am infact very educated and hold a really good job and I am very progressive too. Don't just assume that these sajha readers are admiring u means u are the only educated and brilliant woman. Who cares what some of these readers think? For example Pisces is insulting me by bringing very personal subject about my husband and father just because I didn't agree with him in another thread and he still wants to get back to me. Do u think I care about these guys........there are so many dumb guys who thinks, "Men are dominated by women" or "People in Nepal have enough to eat" etc. I can tell u whoever wrote these lines in another thread are against me in this thread...........following and mocking me in every thread so I think they better learn to debate and not be so defensive all the time. I knew I would get attacked by you all but didn't know u would reach this much out of the topic to insult me! Look Aisha, if u have read the whole thread u probably should be able to understand what I meant by white people. The "white people" doesn't mean nepalese living in USA...alright! We nepalese are called immigrants. Everybody used that term therefore I used that too. I meant all the people who have lived here all their lives......why is it so hard? U should be able to understand by now! I went on about politics with Andolan because he brought politics to challenge me. Now don't tell me I don't have political knowledge......I am an activist dear! U are judging me by the way I dress aren't u? I think u better get to know a person better before u pass your judgement. I am no less than u or any other person here in terms of education, brain, skills etc. I am not trying to be an american but yeah I am trying to learn their strong qualities...... but fashion is my own choice whether I wear western or nepali.......just because u don't wear or like western clothes doesn't mean everybody who wears them are dumb. Think that through.....and keep that in mind!
