"The applicant must have had legal status for at least two (2) years, with no single absence of more than 90 days from the U.S., immediately preceding the date of enlistment."

That means, someone has to be in status for 2 years to join MAVNI.


Little confuse here, suppose someone came here as a student 8 years ago and never left US, but 4 years ago he/she became out of status. Does that first 4 years count as a valid 2 years legal status. It does say "immediately preceding the date of enlistment", but immediately preceding for single absence or 2 years legal status, or both?
