Meditation and mindfulness meditation in particular has reputedly shown to be an effective antidote against depression relapse in clinical trials around the world.

Clinical studies have shown that mindfulness is as effective as pharmacological antidotes but without side-effects of pharmacological drugs which in fact is a huge plus factor as many of you know that not all people are able to handle side-effects of pharmacological drugs very well.

Prof. Mark Williams (of Oxford University) and his research collaborators from Canada, the United States, and elsewhere are considered pioneers in mindfulness-based depression relapse prevention therapies in healthcare settings.
