Actually, Kathmandu is the worst place to live in Nepal and one of the worst city in the world. People in Kathmandu are very much like hybrids who imitate western cultures then they feel superior to other fellow Nepali. Only Newars that too mostly uneducated and lower strata have preserved their culture and proud of their way of living.

I lived in Kathmandu quite long though never liked to live their. Almost always when out of Thankot felt like i left the hell for good. Most people live in Kathmandu because it is capitol city and is economical and political center as well. Since it is political and economical center, all the crooks are naturally attracted to it.
