Hey, guys! As I wrote here that its a drama as they did in previous ceasefire. In this ceasefire drama, the maoists were just testing government whether it will welcome and announce immediate ceasefire from govt. side as a response to Maoist announcement. When government did not announce any ceasefire they denounced their own ceasefire and on the following day they came up with another ceasefire. The difference was in ther length of ceasefire duration. They were testing govt., and since govt. failed to respond, the maoists are giving pressure on govt. by giving only a week long ceasefire and a room for extension provided govt. reciprocates.
