Message from UAF

For many in Nepal, life forever changed on April 25th. That day Nepal was hit with a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. Within two weeks, we sent a group of United Aid Foundation volunteers to the Dolkha and Sindhupalchowk regions. Our team distributed aid, over 25,000 pounds of food, over 2,000 tarps and tents for shelter, solar lights and chargers, conducted medical clinics, and provided other basic needs.

Building in the success of our first trip, we will be returning in July to build houses for those we met on our first trip in the villages of Kavre and Dhading. As the monsoon season approaches, we want to build more permanent shelter than the tents and temporary lean-tos currently being used.

We plan to build ten houses in five days. As we build, we will be teaching the villagers to build as well. We will then leave the tools and materials on site for each village to complete more homes.

Our mission is simple and we need your help. Each house costs $700 to construct. Consider sponsoring a house, or part of a house, or even one of the tools required to build a house.

Many thanks in advance,
United Aid Foundation
