Yes, it is bit expensive in Santa Barbara. If you are alone, it will cost you at least 800 sharing with some other person. Try to find somebody sharing apt in craigslist. I will ask one of my friend living few blocks away from UCSB to mail you if you let me know about yourself and your mail in detail.
