SajhaSexy,

I do not speak half-Nepali and half-Hindi like a lot of self-proclaimed true Nepali around here. 'bhaisaab' would not be my favorite greeting here, therefore.

I do not have any dog in the fight when it comes to mandales, maoists, or the khaobadis. I am commenting here based on my own conscience which is a man's real God. With that out of the way, Nepal always needed not just a CHANGE in the political landscape but rather a REVOLUTION. Unfortunately, revolutions rarely come by without armed struggle which almost always results in bloodshed. Hopefully, you get a grasp of that in other historical instances elsewhere. You cannot liken Dr. Bhattarai to serial killers like say , Charles Mason or Richard Kuklinski, who operated on their own self. Baburam was followed by thousands or even lakhs of followers who had so strong a conviction that they were ready to kill or get killed for their rights and for a sustainable future of Nepal. Also, you are conveniently omitting the following fact:
On February 4, 1996, Baburam Bhattarai presented the Nepali-Congress led coalition government of Sher Bahadur Dueba with a list of 40 demands covering the gamut of nationalism, democracy and livelihood. But those demands were blatantly denied. Instead, had the Nepali government in power had at least tried to negotiate, they could have avoided the People's War.

I wonder if your family members lost their government jobs or government cash-cow because of the popular People's war, and thus your rage against these freedom fighters or what. Otherwise what did you personally or family aggrieved of because of that armed revolution? Of course, there were innocent lives caught in the cross-fire which is, of course, a bummer. But freedom always pretty much comes with blood.

Personally, I am making all these comments and are afforded with my own personal time because I would like to see a rather SUSTAINABLE POLITICAL SYSTEM maturing in Nepal, the country most of us on here love so much. But first each of us have to cultivate a sense of awareness and selflessness as opposed to blah blah.
