Metrosexual Slur Taints Bush and Kerry
A prominent Fox News reporter admitted he fabricated quotes attributed
to John Kerry this week, which labelled the presidential candidate a
manicure obsessed metrosexual.
"Didn't my nails and cuticles look great? What a good debate," Carl
Cameron suggested Kerry said after the first presidential TV debate.
"Women should like me. I do manicure: I'm metrosexual ý he (President
Bush)'s a cowboy."
Fox News subsequently claimed their reporter had dreamed up the quotes
due to 'fatigue and bad judgement rather than malice' while in a
bizarre coincidence Fox's sister newspaper the Sunday Times (UK) also
announced that the metrosexual term is out of date.
"Goodbye ladyboy. Hello geezer", the Rupert Murdoch owned British
broadsheet spat, putting metrosexual at the bottom of their what's hot/
what's not Style section column.
The furore came just over a year after both President Bush and his
sinister sidekick Don Rumsfeld were positively identified with the term, in
a light hearted feature published by the New York Times (not owned by
Murdoch).
"Rummy is a metrosexual," a gay political reporter told paper, "he may
be a warmonger, he may be intemperate, but just about every third woman
I know wants him."
The journalist was equally enthused about George W's gay friendly
mannerisms, declaring 'whenever you see him walking off Air Force One with
that little furball (dog- slang ed) Barney under his arm, that canine
puff of air that most drag queens wouldn't be caught dead with, it's like
he's halfway to a Chanel rabbit fur handbag," he gushed.
