As a talented and versatile actor, model and producer, Sudhamshu Joshi, son of popular Astronomer/Physico Mathmatician/Professor/Doctor Dr. Keshav Ram Joshi, has proven to be a triple threat to the entertainment industry. Even though the performing arts are his first passion, this modern day Renaissance man also works as a Senior Application/Software Administrator in PRA Group in an Information Technology realm, VA Beach, U.S.A. He has been in IT industry for more than eight years. This time around, he’s decided to record a fresh tune while visiting Nepal, his motherland. Why now you ask? Like any good artist, Sudhamshu could not pass the offer to work with similarly talented professionals. He already loved the song and the idea for the video. It didn’t hurt that the song composer/lyricist Sandeep Dangol , another of Nepal’s popular singers, Nabin K bhattarai and Jems Pradhan, liked his innocent, deep, manly and unique voice. He’s still popular in the Nepali film industry as a legit actor with spades of talent and this project only brings him closer to his audience.

As far as performing arts goes, there’s little that Sudhamshu Joshi hasn’t claimed. As a budding actor, he charmed audiences in English one/three act plays in St. Xavier’s School that won him several accolades and even an offer to star in a major role in an American movie ‘Night Train to Kathmandu’. This was an offer he had to pass on because of School Leaving Certificate exam preparations. Since then, he was offered roles in several blockbuster movies like Mohani and Prithvi. But he made his professional acting debut with the film Jaali Rumal, as a teenager lover boy, and Jay Baba Pashupatinath, as lord Shiva himself, almost at the same time. Since then, he’s starred in a number of movies like

Avatar, Lord Buddha, Seema Rekha, Hatya, Namaste Kathmandu, Trikon, Jeevan Yatra, Bishalu, Yo Mayale Launa Satayo, Ranabhumi and produced movies like the Himalayan Nation of Nepal.

Sudhamshu has teamed up with notable directors in U.S.A. and India. He has also explored the roots of acting in theater/T.V. productions like Shangrila, Diversity Show, Gangs of Universe and Surprise. Few people know this but Sudhamshu is also a classically trained actor who attended the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, Actors Place and the Common Basis Theater, where he honed his method and Meisner acting technique, voice, singing, martial arts and dancing skills. Sudhamshu has done television, commercial and print modeling gigs in Nepal, India and the US. But despite all these claims to fame, Sudhamshu is admirably simple, incredibly friendly, generous and refreshingly humble.

More recently, Sudhamshu has focused his energy on music and the song Kasaiko Yaadma 'Clutching at her Memories' is a testament to his commitment to the performing arts, he is very excited since this is the first time Sudhamshu recorded the song professionally and worked with amazing stars like Jems

Pradhan, Nabin K Bhattarai, Dev Kumar Shrestha, creative/talented Sandeep Dandol, Bishal Paudel.

Despite living in the US and hitting homeruns in his career as an IT professional, he always finds time to immerse himself in his passions, whether it be music, theater, acting or humanitarian efforts. Whether it is running races to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, volunteering for the Breast

Cancer Association/Cerebral Palsy, blood donation/fundraising for the Red Cross or donating to the Chetrapati Free Clinic etc, Sudhamshu makes it a priority to commit time to things that matter. And since performing arts is a big passion and priority for him, he’s thinking of committing more to acting/modelling and film making. On behalf of audiences worldwide, we want to wish him the very best and can’t wait to see more stellar performances from him.
