Why do we Momo? The snack that has become THE street food of Delhi

New Delhi: Whenever you think in terms of street food in Delhi, there is only one thing that comes to you mind. Momo. Boiled, fried or baked in a tandoor, with a dash of red chili sauce, mayonnaise and a little chaat masala. And filled with chicken, paneer, mushrooms or even cabbage. Momos are the way to go for the people in Delhi.

Originally an oriental dish that was brought to Delhi by Tibetan and Nepali immigrants, 'momos' as they are commonly known, have now blended perfectly in to the cosmopolitan culture of the capital. Dim Sums, wantons, dumplings and whatever you may call it, there is no better snack than a plate of hot momo at any given time of the day.

We, at Buzz, went out to see if people have noticed how these magical white pieces of heaven have become a part of our culture and cuisine. This is what we found out.
