I like what Balkrishna said overall but may be he could have expressed them with little more care. Instead of just saying "what were you thinking'" and "you are responsible for your actions"
Most of the examples presented seem to be Administrative issues like lacking needed documents for the nagarikta.
I hate to tell you all but we kind of treat the tarai basi and Tibetan looking folks with skepticism when it comes to handing citizenship to them. This is almost similar to a Muslim applying for a Green Card here in US. He will be twice scrutinized than any other immigrant applying for a GC here. Similarly.
Why can't they just leave the law as it is and if encountered a situation like some of the guests on the show then send their application to special committee and make a decision. We certainly cannot open the citizenship floodgate just because its not working for few people. We should work towards how we can cover the exceptions and not let them fall out of the system.
Funny, how you can see the host was cutting off the lady from the tarai when she was trying to elaborate how the ethinic people from her district are no longer there and the new citizens have taken over their town.She is more Nepali than that Kamala panta. The host and the Kamala speaking for $$$, Balkrishna and Ranju kumari are speaking for Nepal and its issue.
