I know this guy who was financially well-off back home. Few homes, few ropanis of land, fancy car, a prestigious career. Since he was in his 40s, his ego was way too big and he remained unemployed for nearly 18 months. His wife would would work 8-10 hr shifts as a babysitter and he'd laze around all day.

Fortunately for them, they decided to return home and resume living their normal life. Not many people can give up their residency but that does make me wonder if they'd have really returned back if he didn't have that extra cushion of living a decent life.
