The US has been my home for so long. It's been a great country - be it the relatively friendly people, ingenious entrepreneurs, or fair labor-laws and norms-to point some merits.

But the recent legally-protected slaughters of unarmed young civilians in Sanford, Florida and Ferguson, Missouri underline a grim truth about the racist zealots who are lurking around and the double-standard of the US' preaching of democracy and human rights around the world. Obama not only came with his audacity of hope but with a head full of dark hair. They are not going to make it any easier for him going forward. You mark my words, his hair is going to turn from gray to white by the time he leaves the White House. The Republicans made the last election all against the Democrats' black President and his failures. That's how the Republicans won so many seats. Why do you think Nepal has also jumped into the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) band-wagon when there are no proper soap or running water in the restrooms at TIA? I bet MRP is also related to the so-called global fight against terror. The curious answer is - "impose all you can but do not skimp on our financial-aid" is the third-world's mantra. You better get prepared, the world, as we know it, is turning into the Police state that captures:
Every breath you take,
Every move you make,
Every bond you break,
I will be watching you
