I was in Nepal this summer. TIA smells bad. Immigration officers don't even bother to look at you and smile. They are like zombies. Restrooms are horrible; don't even have something to dry my hands after I washed my hands. The whole airport smells like a toilet. Departure area is cramped with people in just one lounge. People stand in line so close to you that they will literally touch you. While departing, people will run to the shuttle bus as if the airplane will fly without them on board. Once, you get out of the airport, Kathmandu itself is a big mess with dirt and pollution everywhere.
