Yes, Hindu religion is not adamant about the changes. See in the history where Bahuns are not allowed to eat meat are not kills goat in Dashain and still regarded as hindu.
Also, the rule is made by the majority and the minority should follow it. But the majority should not ignore the minority and its culture. Nepal is only one country who takes step to address the minority in terms of religion. Do we say not to build mosque or church in Nepal?? If u look at even USA, to build a church or temple, you should get permission from the people residing around that place. Then only you can go forward and build a temple.
But there are some forces in Nepal who try to change the mainstream. But again having the rich culture and flourishing this culture will only develop the country.
For example: If you build the cable cars for Manakamana, see the internal inflow of tourist in Manakamana. Do u think the cable car would be this popular if the Manakamana temple was not there??
Similarly, look at the other pilgrimage, many of the indian cities are developed around the temple.
We can do the same in Nepal too. Why is Pashupati foundation rich?? Because it is Hindu temple and popular among Nepali.
These are just some of the examples. If you want to develop the country and move forward, the only way is to preserve the countries culture and make small changes when necessary and move.
