Caste System in Nepal

Ha ha ..Pisces you are funny! Your desire to marry the same caste ppl to be in the 'communal behavior' actually is driven by caste and class motives; if you see your Sasuro working in a Sarki's shop, its embarrasing for you (thats class consciousness speaking). And trying to make a comfortable environment for your family members by marrying someone from the same social background is social conservatism (thats caste consciousness). In either way, you could change things. If you can afford to change your Sasuro's living standards (since you get embarrased to see him deligintly work in Sarki shop), you could invest some capital and expand the market for him (and I hope those who own Bata shoe company in Nepal wouldnt embarrass a general Nepali). And to make your family members comfortable about marrying a girl from another caste, I'm sure you could share her culture and cherish it (like America shares all our cultures) instead of trying to make her fit into Your culture. That will have a happy ending. :) And the funny thing is, you still advocate a descrimination-less society (yourself being unable to personalize it). That was the core I was trying to get into, about the people in Nepal, who advocate it with all their energy, but when it comes to making a real change starting from their own lives, thats it! What do you think?
