In a breaking news, thousands of kite flyers were dumbfounded at a Kite Festival in Newport Rhode Island as all of their kite string started getting cut. Kimberly Hawks of Seattle, WA flew all the way to Rhode Island for this festival and was much dismayed when all of a sudden the string holding her 10 feet wide Japanese kite got cut off in mid air. There were hundreds of other dismayed participants of this festival whose kites got cut off.

Upon hearing complaints from participants, the organizers called in Nascent Securities, a company that specialized in aerial surveillance. Nascent Securities agent, Paul Bowers reported that, upon sending their drone to investigate the aerial conflict, they were able to narrow down the cause of this unfortunate situation to a small 1.5 ft by 1.5 ft white kite with red heart in the middle. The agent reported that as soon as the string of this heart studded kite came into contact with other strings, they got cut off immediately.

Security personnel approached the man who was flying that kite and asked him to bring the kite down. Local police and federal agent were on the scene to determine the casualty after approximately 500 kites had been brought down by Mr. Hardik Dixit who said he hails from Nepal.

Mr. Dixit is known to have said they have a tradition in their country where they spike up the strings with minced glass pieces and stick to the string so when it comes in contact with other strings it cuts off the other string. Federal agents who investigated the living quarters of Mr. Dixit reportedly found dozen broken light bulbs and few glue jar and rolls of strings.

He has been charged with misdemeanor and damage to property worth over $500,000.00. Some of the kites he is charged with cutting off with his razor string, had been handed over for generations and upheld a lot of traditional values.

Newport Kite Festival chief made press release this morning stating that Nepalese will be banned from participating in future Kite festivals.
