Thanks for the suggestion Mojaboy, buying one in Nepal is plan B so far. The reason i want to buy it here is so that i can configure all the settings here so that my relatives back in Nepal won't have to spend much time to get it working and i have someone who could take it back to Nepal.

The ADSL modems available in US are ADSL2+, wondering if they will be compatible in Nepal too.
