You can check flights by directly visiting the airline's website. Many airlines like Cathy Pacific, Qatar, Ethihad, Emirates, Jet Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Korean etc. offer flights from major US cities to Kathmandu, including connections.
If you do not live in a major city or where these airlines operate from, call their 1-800 customer service reservation number and their agent will help you find connections and flights for your dates. They even will provide with multiple quotes (higher or lower rates) depending on your flexibility to travel.
One major advantage of directly purchasing tickets with airline is you can request for a hotel booking (inclusive of the ticket fare) if you have a transit of 14 hours or more. The same privilege applies when you book a ticket via a travel agent, however, most travel agencies do not bother taking that extra step to reserve a hotel or do due diligence of ensuring confirmation of the hotel reservation.
