@Sumit... California School system is very nice. But must of the UC system (University of California System) do not accept lower division transfer, meaning if you have less than 60 credits they will not admit you. Also, UC-Berkeley and UCLA are very tough schools to get admission in. So, it is better you find out how many credits you have. If nothing works, you can start from community college and transfer to a 4-year college. But my suggestion for you is: do not go back to Nepal to complete your studies. You can almost get a free education with your permanent resident status. If UC system doesn't give you admission, you can also look at Cal state system. Also, you don't really need to stick in California. There is a western student exchange program where you can get lower tuition in neighboring states like Arizona, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, etc. In fact, you have so many options. Right now, go to the UCLA office of admissions and take to one of the admission counselor.
