The title posted by the original poster is misleading because the minister only has problems with Nepali government workers who have green card in the US.

Although, it may seem like a patriotic thing to do to protest against government workers applying for green card in another country but it is irresponsible to throw a blanket statement like that without considering different individual situations.

If you are a government worker and your kids live in the US, then instead of having to go through the arduous and uncertain process of US visa application, you save a lot of headache if you have a green card. So it maybe a little unfair to judge those people who simply want to visit their family in the US with ease, while maintaining their jobs in Nepal.
