You quoted the gofundme site saying their total fee is 5% plus the wepay fee of 2.9% + 30 cents which comes to 7.9% plus 30 cents per transaction, which is same as I had indicated.

What threw me off a little bit was when I was reading the gofundme.com FAQ page which stated the following



It seemed like using gofundme was a simple deal where at the end of the campaign they would send me a check and that would be the end of it. But turns out, they are using wepay.com in their back end as the payment processor, that is why you see the reference to wepay.com in there. So gofundme charges 5% and wepay charges 2.9% plus 30 c per transaction.
