Probably one of the FLYHT’s AFIRS Iridium Global Communications Systems would have solved this problem as it can track and transmit real time data. The equipment cost~100K (+ small monthly fee+ cost of transmitting data) and its very rare to happen situation like this (flight MH370) so most airlines and Boeing/Aibus are avoiding but I think this event will bring momentum to have this install. Do you guys think this going to happen?
