This life can be perplexing for many of us because it is full of complexities and our finite brain simply cannot visualize the infinite structure of this universe. Where is the end? The fundamental question: Why anything exist at all? Why is it necessary for something to exist? Why is evolution taking place at all? are some questions that perplex human mind.

Men and women have evolved in this planet as a result of evolution. I am not intersted in understanding the process of evolution but I am intereted in why evolution is taking place at all. Why is energy invested to bring about solar system and living beings if such creation does't serve any purpose. Is there any purpose of this life at all?

I will briefly elucidate what Vedanta has to say about the purpose of life. According to Vedanta, the purpose of life is to "realize who you are." That's the end of Vedanta. And this is where the value of "human form" comes. In this planet, no other animal can realize who they are but only human beings. You realize yourself and rest in peace. When all known things come to an end what remains is pure silence. Why should I believe in the blueness of the sky? I know sky appear to be blue becasue the wavelength of blue color reach my eyes first and sky appears to be blue! But that's relative reality. The whole sky appears to be black from moon no matter it is day or night! Our human mind tend to believe on things that appear to be. But in reality the appearance is just an appearance. Appearance should not be taken as absolute reality. Gold can appear as bracelet or necklance or as other ornament. In all cases, gold is gold. In other words, all effects are cause itslef.

The human form is also an apparant reality. It is not the sole absolute reality. Darwin only talks about evolution but vedanta talks about evolution and involution. Vedanta also talks about evolution of consciousness. Consciousness is primary in Vedanta and gives it the sole importance. In Vedanta Consciousness alone is real, everything else is like a dream. A tree evolves from a tiny seed. All the information about the tree is involuted in that tiny seed. As time and conducive environment proceed, the tiny seed loses it's identity as being seed and becomes a full grown tree. Similarly, human mind needs to give up its limited ego-mind inoder to experience the infinite undivided creative pure intelligence. Even Brahmaa, Visnu, and Shiva are the product of the maya of this consiousness. Realize this Brahman (the param Atma or the Purusha), and rest in peace. This is the end which is beyond all duality, which is beyond all words.
