Its like this , if stock price is less then $1.00, they may charge 1c per share or 2-4% of ur purchase whichever is less. Also, if u call em , sometime they can wave that... so u would be paying 4.95 + 0.3-1.5% comn.
Thats why tdameritrade is better coz u only pay flat $10.00 to buy shares.
