It is very interesting that many Muslims are trying to
justify Koran using science,
My friend,
I read the pages you mentioned, for me it was like
reading of Nostradamus predictions come true. There are books, TV series
and so on so froth about Nostradamus very cleverly explaining that how
Nostradamus predictions came true
All those claims about Nostradamus are just “retroactive clairvoyance”
In “retroactive clairvoyance”
actual evidence is retrofitted to match these "clues"
(hindsight bias). The tips that don't fit are conveniently forgotten (selective thinking)
All those claims in Koran saying that it matches the science are equivalent to retroactive clairvoyance
We can take one example of sun set and
sun rise, Koran considers sun as lantern and other stars as lamps. But now we
know sun is also a star not lantern, but using concept
of retroactive clairvoyance one can consider sun as lantern because
it provide light for us.
Koran says sun’s motion gives day and
night in actuality its earth’s motions that produce day and night. Using “retroactive
clairvoyance” ppl say “you see Koran said son revolves around; now scientists
find Sun revolves”.
Humans have an uncanny ability to find meaningful patterns where none were intended. Using this ability we are still trying to fit meanings of religious texts in science.
Each of them claims they are the real. If they cannot
sort out their difference in 1400 years then obviously there is something wrong.
