One of the best books I have ever read. Both Abraham Lincoln and Mark Twain were Mr Beecher's fan at some point in the lives.
Mr Beecher was similar to Sia Baba.........and when the scandal hit the press..it went like this..
"Yet like many a great man, Beecher was no saint. As one contemporary detractor sniped, "I am reliably assured that Beecher preaches to seven or eight mistresses every Sunday evening."
