I hope you started this thread with a genuine interest on topic not with a vested interest of promoting an agenda of 'big government'. I hope you have read and heard an extreme real-life example of  'big government'. I mean the command and control economy of former USSR where government itself tried to create job for each and every individual.

Back to the topic, if you want an expansionary monetary policy by the government through the Central bank, i ask you to think what happens if "too much money is chasing too few goods".
