bideshi laai pani swagat chha? i was a peace corps volunteer in palpa district. i worked as an english teacher and everyday, my students sang what i thought was a wonderful anthem: gauchha git nepali...." this song praises not the monarchy, but the beauty of nepal, the rivers, and the himals. my understanding is the maoists enforced this song because the old national anthem does praise the king. does anyone else know this song- or know what i'm talking about?
