Turkish Airlines Experience

The best thing about turkish airlines was the "promotional fare" and that's about it. And enjoy while it lasts. I think it is set to end soon and the flights are being curtailed from US in general.

Hailed as the Europe's best airlines, I was disappointed with the customer service. My experience didn't get off to a good start with almost an hour delay in the US airport that included a action-packed fight between one of the passengers and the control officer (both turkish). Even more surprising was the attitudes of the flight attendants and food was OK on flight. I assumed this was an exception but you'll realize it is pretty much the cultural attitude, which I realized after reaching Istanbul. Guys, our own TIA has free WIFI, Istanbul doesn't and there are no free internet booths. Istanbul was not only crowded but there was hardly any resting area compared to Dubai and other Asian airports. And by far, this is the most overpriced airport I have ever been through (A can of coke and tea cost $10 dollars. i was lucky that I was only there for a few hours.

And with this promotional fare rush, the agencies in Nepal have totally screwed the flights for those taking economy flights from Nepal. I don't know if they overbooked passengers traveling from Nepal, they couldn't confirm the flight for one of my relatives even after booking the flight. Surreal.

I guess seeing that Messi's and Kobe's ad, I had a much higher expectation for turkish airlines.
