99% of football viewers would blame the keeper for the error. It was a basic cross that he fumbled on and made the error, similar to a wicketkeeper missing an edge. So I don't know why you'd "outrightly reject the idea" that he was at fault. Also, never in my entire life have I witnessed a keeper making such moves 8 mins prior to final whistle being blown. But we'll leave it at that as we'll just have to agree to disagree.
