DC is just an hour and a half drive for me so I probably will go to the Canadian embassy there and get my visa. They normally give it the same day or 2-3 business days at the most. Now, if you are planning to apply online then, do it sooner than later. It takes 3-4 weeks or even more. If you have made up your mind to appear for the interview around oct/nov, do let me know.
