Writers in Sajha

'Accomplished writer' is probably a wrong (at least politically) word. However, for a well intended purpose, we certainly can put the postings (not the posters, ni) into two categories based on their size (not the quality, again that's too subjective) write-ups ( at least a paragraph of a decent size) and chat (one-liners of the sort). A good balance of them will be a good strategy for Sajha's long term survival and competitive edge, in my view. Sajha indeed used to have a good number of writer type of posters. Many of them, including my most favorite ones, have disappeared or post rarely. It is likely that each individual has unique reason and circumstance for that to happen. Some may have set different priorities, some may have tired of personal fights, some may have thought they are addicted too much and are going through rehab. As the owner, you indeed deserve right to think of changes that will encourage the old posters to return or be active again and new comers or silent readers to be writer posters. I honestly don't know how that can be successfully done. However, I agree that giving more visibility or at least easier access to these decent sized works may be one of the many things helpful. However, I absolutely disagree with the suggestion of no reply type of closed postings. I strongly believe that the strength of Sajha and the reason for it's popularity is the large number of postings in reply. A separate site could be okay for experimentation for now. Although I think it might divide the total strength into two halves. However, the idea of a closed Guild does not sound good. Mero dui paisa.
