Joining US Army??

I think not all the people can fully grasp the idea of sources of personal happiness and satisfaction. I have met many people who are serving in their national army in Nepal and in the US, and also other people who have formed some perceptions about jobs in army. People get a higher satisfaction and happiness in the job of their choice even if the salary and other perks may be little higher in another job. Pride and satisfaction that i can get serving my country's arm force outweighs a little higher salary in another job, at least for me. People get satisfaction/pleasure by making donation, some are even anonymous. Normal people donate for two reasons: gives them satisfaction that they could help someone in need; they get some recognition from others. Likewise, people who are considering serving in army need to factor the 'recognition from others' as an added source of personal happiness.

So if you say "In the modern world "bir gurkha" are called merceneries. Merceneries who fight for money or papers.", there should be a difference between fighting as a 'job' and serving your country, be it Nepal or US.
