No, we are not trying to impress anyone by saying Buddha was born in Nepal.
I am Hindu myself and I still keep introducing my country as Buddha was born in Nepal. No I am not trying to impress anyone here, I am trying to identify my country here.
Yes, Sita was role model and her sacrifice has not been forgotten. It is just that more people know about Buddha than Sita. Buddha is regarded as the enlightened one and messenger of peace. Regardless of any religion or background more people can relate to his message.
No we didnot forget our history and we are still true to our roots.
We still do mention Sita as list of people that has made mother Nepal proud.
Just like Sita made some sacrifice in her life, I would suggest you to make some sacrifice and never start such thread.
