Singer Yam Baral was arrested while gambling at a casino in Kathmandu early Friday morning.

Baral was caught by the police from the casino at Hotel Malla, Lainchour, at around 5 am. The police also seized some cash from the singer during the raid.

He was kept at Hanumandhoka police station for a few hours before being shifted to Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, for further inquiry.

Baral, who lives in the US, had returned to Kathmandu recently. Before moving to the US, he was reportedly having financial troubles with a bank putting his house for auction for not repaying the loan.
