This idea has been floated in the past numerous times. So far the idea has been rejected. They aren't actually selling the house itself (as Nepal Government/Embassy doesn't own it), but the lease on the house for 60 more years. I wish there were a provision on the lease agreement that said if the lease is transferred/sold, then the minimal rent (1000 pound) becomes void.
More than a political party, it's the broker involved that should be blamed. Nepali govt should reject the idea.
