As you may be aware a copy of the W-2 goes to IRS. If you are entitled for a refund it does not matter much if you file on time or late but if you owe tax to the IRS you will end up with hefty fines and interest. So my advice is -try to retrieve your old W-2s and file the tax, both current and past.
P.S.- Given your lazy behaviour I wonder how seriously you will take advices from Sajha!
