renouncing makes sense for a rich person making lot of money overseas but I think for the average middle class not really.

Because did you know this ? If you work overseas you can deduct upto $80,000 (approximately) of that income from US taxes.

In other words dont go rushing out to renounce, unless u are rich like Ed Saverin or DCGirl ;)
