I get what you're trying to say, but in my opinion it doesn't hold up. If I take a leaf out of your argument on prevention and precautions, we might as well abort female foetuses, because that is the surest way to ensure that there is no rape of a woman right? Sounds extreme but you can stretch  that "Victim" argument anyway you like. How about accountability for your action for a second?

I don't know the rape statistics in the world, but I am pretty sure it is lower in western Europe and NZ where women have the most liberty, strong law against rape perpetrators, and where society values equality. Perhaps we should be striving along those lines , don't you think?
