Doti bus accident toll climbs to 30
At least 30 people have died and 13 others injured when a bus fell off the road in Doti, early on Saturday morning.
Local police said that the incident took place at around 3 am along the Doti-Chhatiwan section of the Bhimdatta Highway. The bus (Na 4 Kha 3603) was headed for Dhangadhi from Jayagadhm, Achham.
Rescuers from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal army have reached the scene, said officials. The injured have been rushed to Padma Hospital Attariya, said Police Inspector Rabindra Prasad Bhatta.
Rescue efforts have been hampered by severe cold, said Bhatta adding that the death toll could rise further. nepalnews.com

19 hurt as bus falls off road in Banke
Around 19 people were injured, three of them critically, when a bus fell off the road near Bankatuwa, Banke on Friday night.
Police have identified the critically injured as Rajhena (8), Sita Wali (19) and Dhanrashi Yogi (19). Wali and Yogi have been rushed to Nepalgunj Nursing Home. Others injured in the accident are receiving treatment at Kohalpur Medical College.
Police have impounded the vehicle, but the driver is absconding. nepalnews.com
