I got an iphone 5 last month. I requested AT&T, my service provider, to unlock phone but they say apple can't unlock phone untill 18 months if the phone is under the contract. Is that true? I talked with 3 different customer service people and they talked different things. 

I am travelling to nepal after few weeks and want to use this phone in nepal. Is there any way I can unlock my phone except jailbreak? Good suggestions are always apreciated!!!
