I am absolutely with you guys. The first and foremost thing I hated about 'New Nepal' was the decision to make the country secular. It's not becoz I was a supporter of monarchy or a hindu extremist but our culture and tradition is what we have. We are well known for our culture and tradition and where does it comes from? "our religion'. I dont think there were any religious discrimantion even when we were a hindu nation. People were happy and content with what they believe and follow. They will living in a harmony. I grew up with lot of muslims, buddhist and went on a christian missionary school. I never saw or even heard about religious tormoil around me. Now everything is getting fcked up. Any body who want to go to power will bring the issue of religious and ethnic minority. The bloody leaders want to go power by sparkling violence and shutting the country down with all these bullcrap propaganda. There was so called madhesh andolan and what did a madeshi farmer in sarlahi got? a madeshi president and vice president. His problems are still the same if not worse, he has more fear and isnot even sure if he can portect his own family. This ethnic issue and minority craps are all bull craps for me. Baburam Bhattarai, a bahun becomes a president and a bahun who is living in jumla cant have a bag of rice coz he is not a minority coz the PM is bahun. If our nation really cares about its citizens, then they should make reservation and give subsidiaries for the people who are poor and live in remote parts of our country.
I dont even wanna talk about Nepal anymore these days. I can go on and on. thats the only thing i can do and i know it doesnot mean sh*t to any body.
Our intellectual standard is based on the person's ability to criticize and disagree about any issue. So, it is considered very cool to do something against our norms. Drinking alochol and getting jhyaap, smoking, speaking english in the worst accent with fellow nepali are so lucrative among youths that they keep striving so hard each and every day. Accordingly, eating beef is considered so cool and some youths even consider it the path of modernisation or gateway to 21st century. In a nustshell, Nepali wont do sh*t in terms of preserving the "Hindu" religion. The only group who will at least try preserve will be Indians (even though my gut says i m their fan on anything).
Last but not the least, if the western and middle east countries organize a game and according to which " if a nepali kills at least 10 other nepali, he/she will be provided a citizenship of those developed countries, i am sure people accept that challenge with out any second thoughts"
