If you've full time job, you've better chance of getting H1b stamped without delay but lately i've heard many people getting delay in H1b stamping due to administrative processing, which can last from 2 months to 2 years (that's what they say).
BUT
Most people get stamping in about 2 months if they go through some administrative processing.
Election has nothing to do with H1b stamping, in my opinion. I don't know !
I know it sucks when you have valid H1b and work full time, it's scary to visit your country and come back. Its all your Luck !
Good Luck to you.
I am in the same boat :)
