Hey Nepali boys n gals, To solve Maoist problem should be topmost priority of all Nepalese. As such we should give a genuine effort to find such one even though it is not a 2+2 = 4 solution. Looking at the current trends of Nepali politics it will take god to solve the problem. The changes of government, peace talk , guleli action against the Maoist etc etc. has a futile effect. These actions will just intensify the problems on the course of time. A common Nepali will just keep on suffering. Even Maoist seize the power we will have Prachanda instead of Gyanendra. Life is harder under gyanendra ( 62 crore man without any benefit to the country) and would definitely be alike under Prachanda (a stone age man). But we can not stay in this transition costing inhumane pain and fear every seconds. Some end results/solution in my mind are 1. Routing of Maoist to the end (as in Punjab) : It seems king, current politicians, army commandsý do not have enough will, guts and leadership to carry such a plan. Most of top government employee are having monetary gain from the maoist problem. This plan needs Deshvakti from corrupted government employee and active help of India. I put 50% chances are for this solution. 2. Power cut or step down by the king (Will he ? He is not Birendra.)and Maoist coming under multiparty democracy. 10% chance for this solution 3. Zero economy / conflict in Nepali army setting victory to Maoist on the long course of time : Most likely to happened. Or 3 could lead to 4. Failed nation: International intervention on the humanitarian ground. Least wanted by Nepali. With those end results, it shows that a lot need to be suffered by Nepali. Only good hope is that this suffer may drive Nepalese to build his own country Nepal, a rare character otherwise.
