After Kantipur Television's profile of social worker Dil Shova Shrestha on the programme Dishanirdesh, many people have responded to Shrestha's selfless efforts by donating money and various goods.

Shrestha's organisation 'Amaghar' was presented with a check for Rs 100,000 from Saarc Chamber Women Entrepreneurs' Council by its Chairperson Pramila Acharya Rijal. Amaghar has been providing shelter for the helpless, the elderly and the war victims for the past 15 years.

Shrestha has been sheltering 86 people, including the elderly and child victims of war from Karnali, at her own home at Soaltee Mode, Kalimati, now known as 'Amaghar.'

The Kantipur Television also donated Rs 100,000 to the organisation. Various other organisations and individuals have responded with rice, biscuits, oil, clothes and other household goods.

Bijay Kumar Pandey of Dishanirdesh said that Kantipur Television extended its help in admiration of Shrestha's selfless efforts.

The television network has also opened up an account with Nepal Investment Bank, Kalimati Branch, for people willing to financially support Shrestha's cause. The bank account number is 01705020036926.
