 I talked to my lawyer and this is what he says:

Yesterday afternoon, the Department of State published the July 1, 2012 Visa Bulletin, in which the Department of State discloses that immigrant visas (i.e., Green Cards) will become essentially unavailable  for all countries (not just India and China) on July 1, 2012.   What this means is that as of July 1, 2012: (a) EB2 beneficiaries who would otherwise have been eligible to file for Adjustment of Status, but who have not yet done so, will no longer be eligible to file for Adjustment of Status; and (b) EB2 beneficiaries who have already filed for Adjustment of Status, but whose AOS Applications have not yet been approved, will likely see no further progress / adjudication of their pending AOS Applications until October 1, 2012 or later.
